Metallic, distorted mess

I'll repost this again due to lack of response last time around...my Firewire 410 is continually giving me problems. It doesn't matter what program I am using (Itunes, Guitar Rig, Ableton, whatever) after about 10 minutes the audio becomes a metallic distorted sounding mess. Everything sounds like its in a really quiet tin can. I've communicated with M-Audio's tech support and everything they have recommened I have done...issue still remains unresolved. They have requested my IRQ settings, which I have emailed back to them. Nothing shows as a conflict. I have visted www.musicxp.net and made the recommedations from there too.

Does anyone have an similar experience with this unit or advice?

No advice, but could you post some samples of that metallic mess? I'm always on a lookout for f'd up sounds :o
 
I wish I could noisewreck!

I guess I coud mic the monitors...or run an out to an in...that'd sound great
