so, good evening.
i'm running a project for a little while now and i have 9-10 doom/death songs ready to be recorded.
they are composed in guitar pro 5.2 (yeah yeah i know... its the only software im familiar with)
and i wish to start recording the drums.

my former band's sound engineer suggested me that i extract the drum sequences in MIDI form
and import them into Cubase.

but i dont have the slightest piece of idea how this thing works.
could you do me any help with links or a few words about it?

lastly, how can i put in different tracks, the snare, the toms, the cymbals etc. ?
i wanna work on their equalizing, sound and their effects differently
and i dont think this is possible if they are all on the same track. (is it?)

thank you in advance guys :)

It's as easy as copying each hit of whatever drum and pasting them onto a new track. As for MIDI, there should be an option in GP to export as MIDI file.
