Metal Song - WIP - Please Listen

There are a few seconds of silence before the track starts. Sorry...

This is an old song from around 2004 that has been reworked. Recorded and mixed with Mixcraft 5. Guitars were recorded through a Digitech RP1000 with custom 5150 and Triple Rectifier patches. Drums were produced with EZDrummer. Mastering was done with various elements of iZotope Ozone 5.

I don't really have much criticism. I don't listen to metal too often, but I generally know how it's supposed to sound and your track sounds metal to me. Great guitar sound, especially considering it's a amp modeler, good amount of bass and a nice drum sound. Nice and punchy too, but still thick. Maybe other people can offer some advice, but it sounds pretty professional to me.

Well, thank you for listening. I worked really hard to get that guitar tone to sound the way it does. The drums are from the Sonor kit in the Metalheads EZX. I forgot to mention that I used Omnisphere synth during the breakdown part. Thanks for the great compliments!

Great Job! No complaints here. For fun you ought to try to put a "String Section" in as a counter point.

This is a remixed/remastered version. I brought down the compression a bit to leave some headroom for the drums and the synth in the breakdown. I still haven't finished vocals or bass yet but I am working on it. Which mix do you like better?

I am leaning towards the first one. It sounds more aggressive.

I like this, it's pretty cool. I like that bassy counter riff undercurrent. Mixwise, I'm thinking the cymbals could come down a couple db maybe
