I tried a bunch of different amps, and there's no way around it, I need a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier amp! Nothing else has the sound I'm looking for
Now I'm wondering if I should get the normal Dual Rectifier Solo Head, or a Dual Rectifier Trem-o-Verb long head.
I can afford the $$$ difference, but I want to be sure the Trem-o-verb will give me the exact same sound (in Modern High-Gain mode). From what I understand, the Trem-o-verb is basically a Dual Recto Solo head with reverb, tremolo and blues mode. Is that true? Because the dealer told me they would sound a little different (they didn't have both in stock, it's really hard to find a dealer with Boogies in stock here in Montreal). Anyone can tell me?
