Mesa Boogie DC-3

A buddy of mine just gave me his dc-3 today and I'm kind of excited about it. I don't know much about anything but the rectifiers and my only question is, what do you guys think of the amp? Its the first all tube head I've had and haven't had the time to really get it cranking, thats why I'm asking.

I used to have a DC-2 and I really liked it - but I ended up selling it because 1) I wasn't in love with the clean tones - just wasn't what I was looking for (happier with my Hot Rod Deluxe). I also didn't love the dirty channel - and given that's where a mesa ought to shine, the DC-2 just wasn't right for me. That being said, it was a great amp and now that I've gotten more into analog pedals, I bet they would have sounded great through it....
