Hello, any pros and or cons to either one of these. Someone told me that the 50/50 is deeper sounding or will color the preamps sound, and the 2/90 is more of a clean high headroom power that pretty much just reproduces the preamp tone with no extra color. Im not saying that is true, just what a couple people have told me.
With there being so many differnt preamps out there from racks to even preamp pedals now a days, Im looking for the best fit so I can try them in a live amp rig. and then be able to turn around and easily record with the same rig. What can i say, it is a time period of experimentation of my musical career where its time to make a change in my tone and gear. I need to be able to produce a monster metal tone for originals and then turn around and play pop rock in a cover band.

-Mesa Triaxis
-Prosonus 11 rack
-Fractal Audio Axe FX Ultra
-AMT Electronics Ledgend series pre-amp pedals.
