Anyone remember when BIC 'tables with the capacitance 'buttons' hit the scene? You started seeing them everywhere , I guess 'cause of the cool controls.

I saw a few different components (receivers, 8-tracks, etc.) with those buttons back in the day. One of my old Casio keyboards has a capacitance strip on front that triggers a fill in whatever preset rhythm pattern you're playing. And of course the iPod thumb wheel took it to the next level.

May but will certainly increase the bass!

What about Jerry and the pacemakers though!

I used to do a lotta reconing for a music store in the 70's and I'd experiment with all kinds of things like that.

In particular I regularly (on my own speakers) used parts that fit but were NOT the correct parts. One time I got a bunch of old alnico speakers from jukeboxes (all 15's) and put guitar type cones and coils in them.
They worked quite well.

Remind me not to let you anywhere near my Kharma CE1.0s hehe :D :D ;) ;)

well . this was 40 years ago and it was all stuff being used for DIY live sound.

I'd love to hear the Kharmas ....... I've read good things about them.

Just having a friendly go ;)

The Kharmas are substantial, I will say that! Way too big for my current listening room, but very musical and good GAWD can they throw a giant soundstage when given the chance...

cool ..... you diggin' the speakers?

Also ...... still play portals?

I'm loving them! A little sinatra goes a long way on them ;) Still need a decent amp though.

It's gonna be hard to sell them i think. Postage is out, so i'm gona need someone local who's looking for speakers that don't seem to be talked about.
Doesn't seem likely.

Portal 2! online multiplayer kicks ass :) although it's a little boring now. I wonder if they'll release update maps or something....
