I bought both, Roland VS840GX and PA9.
I was told before I got them that they could be merged, or used together. I don't know if I'm saying this right.
Here's what I want to do.

I play in a band. The Roland is portable, I can take it with me and record a bit, or record other bands.
Then, when I get home, is there a way to run it through PA9 to mix and edit it? I know I need a zip card and drive to plug into my computer, but will PA9 recognize the format that Roland uses?

I don't quite know all the termenology yet, so I may not of said it right.

Thanx!!!!

What you need to do is before the recording put a beat on all the tracks. then through the right and left outs(use the toslink if the soundcard has the input). then put all of them 2 tracks at a time recorded into tracks on cake walk . when you have them all you can sync them up using that beat you put at the beginning of all the tracks. Then go and bounce down to two tracks and record some more into the hard disk. repeat untill theres no more tracks availible in cakewalk(If you use the toslink you wont lose a thing in the transfer.)

By the way once the tracks are bounced dont transfer those tracks to cake walk. they are only there for monitoring at that point.

Happy recording dude.
