Memory card for Boss 900 CD

Hello to all.

I have a Boss 900 CD version 2 recorder and I need to replace the CompactFlash memory card.

I have bought a 8 GB type 1 card as the manual says but when I try to format it ( or initialize as the maunal reads ) the menu screen reads "unsupported card " and will not allow the process to run.

Is some other CompactFlash card needed, can anyone help me to locate the correct card or are they only available from a Boss dealer ?

Check your manual, but I know that my BR-600 only took up to 1Gb cards - its possible your recorder cannot use 8Gb?
