"melange de la chauve-souris"

I've heard this one before. Is this the bat in the brew? The pairing of those rhythm guitars with the bass sounds terrific, but I'm hearing it rather than feeling the impact. When I turn up the volume to feel the low end, the lead guitars and vocals become too loud. I had the same impression with the previous mix, that you are mixing to showcase your lead guitar and vocal skills (understandably) when more emphasis on the low end would bring out the power of the song. Strictly my opinion.

hey robus!
thanks for listening....

yes, this is the bat in the brew.
LOL

i always mixed this song originally,
to favor the guitars and vox..
when i remix it, i'll do exactly what you suggest...

i have a much better system to mix this on now,
than i did then,

you know, that 'main riff', was just a little fun riff i used for years,
to try out new guitars off the wall...
it was a riff that, IF the guitar was up to it, would just spank right out...
75% of the guitars i've ever played, would not let me play that riff correctly,
for some reason.
it's so simple,
but seems to test an electric guitar in every way that is important to me,
acoustically and electronically.
weird, i know.
