Irwin, everything is nicely balanced and clear, but as for the content, this one isn't for me. I struggled to reach the 1 minute mark. Maybe it's a cultural thing, maybe I'm just too traditional in my taste, or maybe I'm just old and grumpy, but I just can't get into it. Sorry, man. 😣

No need to apologize, Irwin, its just a matter of taste. That's an interesting combination.... Afro/HipHop/Dance. It's not a style that is heard around my area, at least that I know of.

While I listen to a pretty wide variety of styles, I'm pretty traditional in my musical taste, whether it is classical, big band, jazz, rock, country, bluegrass or blues. I'm not a fan of the majority of the hip hop music today and generally don't care much for things like techno music.

Heck, Jack Harlow grew up and went to school about a mile from me, he seems to be a really nice kid, goes out of his way to support a lot of local events despite being a pretty big hip hop star, but I simply can't listen to his music. But the kids really love it!

I just sat down to my drum kit and was able to keep a simple straight 4 beat.
but the hats - bro - no way for me man.
i know those were trending, those hi hats, but to me they distract from your vocals - which are strangely relaxing. I say strangely because i would not seek out a tune like this for that (relaxation) but surprise - my luck.

Hi Manslick, After reading what you've written above this is what I find. Your comment is enjoyable to read, very entertaining, kinda teasing (me) meaning I can see your personality through your comment. Very respectable and that's a good thing.

Love your comment, not what I was exspection total. Thanks for being the only member here to come close to understanding what I do (as in my music style) because many people don't get it right or never seem to understand.

Style:
Reggae rap (you are right there) even though some people said it is Afro/hip Hop/ whatever. I am telling myself it was Dance hall music all along because over here in my Country ``Guyana" I grew up listening to Reggae and DanceHall music a lot, also American pop. Could it be that I mix them all up into one pot, I don't know. I hope the public likes what I do.

With the music I am hearing in my head I am finding it very hard to find people to work with and that is what I really need.

So, I guess I'll have to do it myself.
