Hi, all!
I've just finished my first track on CEpro, and it sounds amazing, although when I do a mixdown, it opens up totally distorted. I've tried to lower all levels quite a bit, and it doesn't seem to help. Is there something I should tweek in my settings?
Help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
-Jeff

Okay, let's get this straight: you can record and play back the track without distortion, but when you mixdown the whole session, the sound is distorted? Is that what's happening?

I figured it out...for some reason, I mixed it down and immediately save it to my music folder, to open with Win MX, which then sounded totally distorted. I just saved it to Cool Edit File, then saved a copy to my music folder and for some reason, that sounds amazing.
Thanks for the help! Your time is greatly appreciated.
Maybe you can answer this, though:
If I apply an effect to a track, am I stuck with it, or is there a way to undue that I'm not catching?
Have a great day,
Jeff

If you apply an effect to a track in Edit View, you can undo it as long as you haven't yet saved the track. Once you save those changes though, they're permanent and you can't undo them.

In Multitrack View, you can do anything you want, and it won't affect the basic track. All the changes in Multitrack are non-destructive (undoable).
