I just purchased a UA 710 twin-finity (of which I'm thoroughly enjoying at the moment) BUT, as far as I've read, there doesn't seem to be any way of truly bypassing my MBox Pro 2's Preamp. I know about running it line in...but I've read that it still is sent through the preamps circuitry. Please correct me if I'm wrong here...I'd love to know it's possible.
I'm kind of beginning to think I should just update. I do need a console (the mouse movements are getting real old)
Here's my question...is it time to upgrade to something better, with a true preamp bypass? Is there a convenient suggested upgrade here that could also give me a console of some sort for easier mixing? I.E. used 002
I'm hoping to spend no more than a grand. Any creative suggestions out there?
My Rig:
I7, 4Gig Ram, Win XP, Pro Tools LE 8.04, Mbox 2 Pro
