Mbox 2 help (pc)

Hello

i just bought an Mbox 2 and i cant get it to run. During the installation process from the Pro tools CD there is an error report while the digidriver.exe file is installing. It proceeds to install pro tools but then when i start the program it says the hardware is not recognized.

Anyone else have this problem? Digidesign's site has not been any help.

any suggestions?

Hmmm... I have no experience with the M2, but in general:

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Checked the install CD to make sure its clean and unscratched? Double checked Digi's compatibility reqs to be sure the thing will work with your computer?

And you can call Digi. I think you get free installation support. And if its a problwm with the M2 they want to know about it and will probably ship you a new one if they can't get it working for you. Their customer support is excellent on machines under warranty.

i use mbox an it works fine at first it did give some problems , but it might have to do with a audio driver you have already messing with it try to disable any other sound drivers an see wat happens

What is the error message? Is it something about the driver not passing Windows Logo testing?

I get that message whenever I install ProTools on my machine (Mbox 1), and it is even noted in the PT manual that this error screen will pop up during installation and you should just click "Continue Anyway"
