I recently bought a Mbox2 factory bundle and I really don't have much experience recording either. Is their anything that I need to buy, I currently have a nice pair of monitors and a couple of condensor mics. What else do you recommend me getting?

Thats enough to start- I don't think you *need* anything else. Mic cables and stands, of course.

Dig in, man! Have fun. The "getting started with Mbox" guide is the place to start.

At this point your skills are more important than the stuff you're using. Use what you have until you know what it can and can't do- THEN start looking around for stuff that will fill in the gaps. By then you'll have a much better idea of what you need and why and you'll spend your money better.

Have fun!

One other thing you might want to invest in is a pair of headphones, so you can do overdubs.

100% agree. All the gear in the world isn't going to help you learn better. Keep it simple for now and add more to your "knowledge bank" as you go. Once you get to a point where you say something like "I don't like the way this reverb plugin sounds"....then go find one that you DO like. Besides, the more complex your setup, the more frustrating it can be sometimes.

learn to use automation. watch the DVD that comes with, it contains some cool things. learn the quick keys.

make music!!
