okay so im trying to get into sampling... i would like to get a mpc or something simular and just use it for my samples but thats not practical for me..... right now i have Adobe audition and FL6...... my problem isn't the creative part of sampling meaning making the beat or watever... its more much much more on the tech side of it.... like i just cant figure out how to get the tempo of the sample right..... i've tried pretty much everything..... right now im writing this in anger cause i sat here for about a hour or two trying to make the tempo of this sample up with a snare track... if you kno what i mean.....
maybe someone can make a video tutorial of them chopping a sample and matching the tempo... or hell even a screen shot of you choping it up wit some audio would help me out.........
i've tryed using FL6's detect tempo button and that did me no good.. as i've said i've tryed doing it by ear.... i've even tried adobe auditions tempo function to no avail........
normally when i chop my samples i do them myself as opposed to just using like FL6 auto chop....... im pretty sure i chop um up right i just go with the beat of the song but when i put um in FL6 its not right.....
and also i cant figure out how to change the pitch of a sample without slowing it down or speeding it up.... not tryin to be like kanye I just admire that vibe and i wanna give it my own spin.. any help with this would be appreciated.. and yes i kno this is a long ass help thread...... but i need it.....
