Hi folks, I'm considering upgrading my system with a new sound card, in replacement of my shitty SBLive 5.1. I was pretty happy with it for the kind of stuff I was doing (guitar + bass + drums live direct recording, all miked up with stereo mic), but I wanna move on to serious multitracking, using sonar and plugins such as Amplitube, Revalver Dsound Stomp'n fx and Steinberg Warp.

I wanna record my guitar in playback with the plugin actually running, while recording the dry input only.
For this sonar work pretty good, but the latency 's trashing everything

so what of the following would you recommend:

-a sound coard of the audiotrak maya/inca series (maya 44, inca 88) they all do 20/48

-a soundcard of the terratec series, wich will do 24/96.

I saw some posts on other forums saying that the audiotrak have better A/D converters, and eventhough they're only doing 20/48, they sound better that terratec's 24/96.

I'm lost, and up on this the dude of the music store doesn't know what's talking about. He couldn't argue about latentcy, AD quality...

so dudes, any experienced feedback to help me out?
