I saw musicians friend had these soundcards for very cheap. Does anybody know about these. They seem to have a lot of inputs, but I can't understand what they mean when they say this amount of inputs, but really you can only plug in this amount of mics or whatever. Here is the link that has the specs in it. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/700354/
Can you tell me how many mics I can plug into it. Does it supply phantom power. Do I need a mixer with it. Do I need some new software (I have acid 4). I was also considering a presonus firepod instead of a new soundcard.
It comes with software. I have heard I don't need a mixer with it either because it has built in preamps. So if you can look at that link and help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

If you read the description, it clearly says it has phantom power (although only 12v, so it won't work well with any decent mics) and mic preamps on two channels.

It looks like it says that it only has to tracks with phantom power. Am I reading this correctly?

That's what it says. Phantom power is only for mics, so since there are only two mic inputs, one would infer that there are TWO (not to) INPUTS (tracks are what you have after you recorded a part) with Phantom Power.
