issit possible to connect more than 1 MIDI instrument to the recording chain? i have a fantom x6 wich is connected to my soundcard via MIDI but i also have a micro korg wich i like the sounds of and want to use via MIDI, instead of keeping having to unplug the MIDI I/O out of the fantom x6 and pluging it in to the microkorg so often? is there another way??? thankyou

I'm no Midi Expert but, a couple thoughts come to mind. If the Midi instruments understand "channels". You'll need a bridge or splitter to get the signal to multiple devices. Check to see if any of the Midi instruments hava a "thru" port. This allows you to hook up several boxes in serial/daisy chain fashion.

Here's a light read; http://www.philrees.co.uk/products/thruunit.htm

and another; http://www.tweakheadz.com/midi_interfaces.htm

and one more; http://www.tweakheadz.com/midi_interfaces.htm

If you hardware is limited you could look into something like this; http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/MIDI-Solutions-Quadra-4Output-MIDI-Thru-Box?sku=702504
