Maximize the computer

Aloha, I used to have a one sheet on maximizing a computer for audio recording. It had to do with how to set up and what not to set up (XP pro) in the computer. After a recent move, I can't locate the sheet. Anyone know what I'm talking about and can direct me to a site with that kind of information????
