I've just mixed this song and thought that you might like to have a listen to it.

As well as doing all the recording and mixing I played the bass, keyboards and some electric guitar (choruses and middle section). As well as writing the song Matt did the vocals, acoustic guitar and main electric guitar part. Carl played the drums.

I'd really appreciate your opinions.

Thanks, Pete.

Not a bad job at all. Nice tune. Pretty decent harmonies. For the most part things are sitting nicely.

Now there are some things that are clashing. The guitar riff that starts off the song covers the bass (BTW - the bass sounds nice to me). But that guitar is covering it in those spots.

There is that little guitar part that's playing along with the vocals - the part I'm talking about runs from :43 to :57. This one is not real bad at all. But I think with a small cut or two in the guitar part, they'd sound just a bit better.

A few lyrics that a "well worn."

But all in all a pretty good offering.

No mix suggestions from me but I REALLY like the tune. The main gitar riff has a pretty good hook to it along with the bass line and drums.......vocal melody is pretty good too.....a lot more could be done vocally with this...the music is so moody that it's begging for a stronger hook......Thats just my opinion of course.LOL.....I really like this tune.
