Hey folks, just joined up and spotted this topic...

Here you'll find two mp3's, both from a band i used to drum in called The Signal (now sadly split). "Matching Claws and Beak" was a fine moment for us, and was interesting to record..... We were asked to contribute a track to a cover-mounted CD (for Bristol's Choke fanzine), and had a few hours of practice time to write and record the whole track. The end result was recorded using one stereo mic placed in the center of the room, two drumkits were used, one at hard left and one hard right, and bass and guitar facing each other at either end of the room. Does that make sense? We recorded straight to minidisc with no overdubs and then mastered the track on a Roland VS1880. Anyway, check it out. The other track (Untitled) was intended as a B-side to a 7-inch single which was never released and was recorded in a more orthadox manner which i can't be bothered to describe right now.
