Matched Overheads...how important are they?

I've been looking into getting some oktava mc-012s but I don't have a big budget. Is getting a matched pair really all that it's cracked up to be?

It seems that most people say that while matched mics are nice they are not critical for overheads. When you get into something like acoustic guitar then they become more important.
