Over the years - we mastered our multi track recordings down to stereo 2 track onto a Teac 2 track - reel to reel deck.
These days - it's expensive - as you only get half an hour's worth of music on a reel of Ampex tape - costing £30.
And when recording on PC or digital studios - you need to mix on to tape to get that " warm - vinyl sound" on the finished master tape.
Then you play that tape back into a CD recorder and save the finished mix.

So - with the reel to reel tape being too expensive - We use the Panasonic AG - 7330 - a pro - studio - VHS recorder.
This gives you the same warm , crisp recording - and you can have 3 hours of music, mastered on to a VHS tape , costing £2.

We have 3 of these machines - and want to sell off - or swap one of them.
They cost £1900 new. Current value ( second hand) £300.
All swaps considered.
