I'm just starting out with the mixer. I know that the "master out" lets you hear your overall sound. But what kind of equipment do you plug into this master output? Speakers?

I'm using a Roland VS-840. I don't have anything plugged into the master output. I want to know the possible equipment I can plug in. The owner's manual gives the stereo set as an example, but do I have to use special speakers? The regular speakers I have for the radio don't have jacks that I can use to connect to the mixer via a cable.
