I'm trying to get the to stage of recording drum sounds into Protools using the Maschine as controller. I set everything up but I must be missing a setting. I can see the levels when I strike the pads, and I can hear the drums, so I know that it is seeing the controller. I can "pencil draw" in notes, and play them back, so I know the software is inserted. But when I hit record, even though the track records normally (grayed clip), and the track shows that the Maschine is triggering when I hit the pads (by the levels peaking), no data is recorded on the track, just blank midi track. Can anyone help me get off the ground here?
