Whats the final opinion on the Marshall v67 and MXL-603's? Man, that V67 is a beauty (mxlmics.com). I think I'm gonna buy the V67, just to look at it, regardless of sound. (I'm a sucker for a pretty mic).
I noticed it cuts off at the 30hz range though, doesnt grab as much bottom as most large condensers (might be good, maybe)
I want some opinions badly. I think I'm gonna order the V67 and 2 MXL-603's at the same time. I'm gonna hope the V67 outperforms the NT-1. (well, its KILLS the NT-1 LOOKS-WISE, anyway)
Please, if you have any of these mics, love or hate em, let me know!
Peace,
Paul

The V 67 has PLENTY of bottom end to it. The proximity effect is pretty pronounced. It is far less shrill than any of the Rode mics, and quite a good buy in the low priced mic world. Where I disagree with you is on the looks. I have the green/gold one because it was all that was available when I bought it. I'm of Irish decent, but I could live without all that green staring me in the face. The 603s is a good mic too. I bought 2 when they were selling for $60. Sounds great on acoustic guitar and mandolin.
