Ive got the chance of getting a jcm900 SLX Head 100W
but im not in a band at the moment. and the amp will be used to record (mostly in my bedroom studio) Will this amp sound good at bedroom level or does it really need to be cranked up a little?

Ive never had a valve amp you see?

any help would be great!!
 
To get the best out of it you'll need it a bit louder than bedroom volume, but what you could do if it's possible is have all your recording gear in separate room to where the amp is... close the doors between the rooms and run the wires under the doors... that way you could crank it a bit more. It's a problem, but if it's a good price I'd probably still get it anyway :D
 
Yeah i had thought of that, and the price is right, looks as if i`ll give it a blast anyway, Be a nice Christmas Present to myself. Ooh im just too generous ;)
