Ok I had a few moments Nothing To Do...
cleaning the house I found a little baby Marshall and having a 9volt...plugged it in.

Can you tell the difference between a $1200 Marshall and a $25 Marshall?

:p

Clip 1 is earpiercing "Marshall Distortion" first half is one amp, the second part is the other.

Clip 2 is for the "clean" players.....

Tech info:
both were recorded on axis with a SM7. <see pic>
Blockfish applied to bring up the volumes in the recording software.

The first part of the clips sounded very thin and raspy compared to the second part. So my guess is the first part of the clips is the toy amp. If I'm wrong then you had better get your amp to a tech right away.

your right.

I just re-listened to this after a few hours off,

actually both the distorted ones sound like shit...gawd...what ear bleed!
(don't have a smilie with blood coming from the ears or I'd post it.):p

it was one of those comparison things, though. reminds me of Clapton doing Layla on the Fender Champ or so the story goes. I guess this thing is what 1/4 watt? I don't even know where it came from, my son and his bunches are always running around leaving stuff laying around.

the clean tracks aren't as bad, maybe some EQ could make the MiniMe Marshall tolerable?

thing with the larger tube amp is one really doesn't have to work very hard, its just a turn it on and slap a mic in front for the 90% of it.I did some with the POD too, and its much easier though a slight bit more work at simulating the tube amp, and not near as much fun to play, maybe easier to record with though.

sorry about your ears having to hear this...damn...:o

It wasn't that bad. I actually thought your "real" amp sounded pretty good. I've always been partial to Marshall. [hey that rhymes]
