With you as the sole marcher?

I can imagine! Remember that each take needs to be a full take, no comping of the best footsteps... :)

I hope you have a wide variety of footwear at your disposal, or are you running it all through EZStomp or a marching sim? :laughings:

Or you could like copy and offset a few milliseconds...

If you mastered the castanets, I have great confidence you'll get marching down.

Sounds like thirsty work... enjoy! :drunk:

Yup, lots of stomping. I'm up to about 32 tracks of foot stomping goodness. I'm a one-man army of checkered slip-on Vans wearing soldiers!

Recorded something similar to what your working on Greg and what I found to work great was a small platform 2X4 made of plywood framed by 2X6's.
Was able to get a mic under and then one up on top these provided for a great resonating of the steps/marching and sounded huge!
After a few tracks of the feet, added other strikes with a hiking stick, a metal dowel, tympani mallet, or just get creative on your own behalf. For these other items added the needed dimension to the sound much like a kick drum you want to get a click attack and the low/low mid end rumble. Really spruced it up.

You've only got about 10 days left before you have to start Apriling.

I've got some checkered slip on vans, and don't live too far away! The neighbors above me stomp a lot if you'd like me to record that for you :)
