This all started in 1996 with a cut that ended up on my, "Songs Only a Mother Could Love" CD.

Each year around this time my compositional bent drifts into what I call Leprechaun Music.

This is just the latest (2002) outbreak.

I want to drink a green beer just listening to this!

It's the 1899 KB 128 Kbps mp3 file......

Spring has almost sprung!

well...the recording is nice and clean...
John Cage??
are you one of those guys who mathmatically plans stuff out??...like the 3rd bar from the end, has the same motif, up a 4th, but reversed, as the 3rd bar out....and the left hand is playing it, instead of the right??
stuff...that makes sense on paper, but the listener never has a clue, unless they have a photographic memory.
Personally...I don't get it, find it "spring-time fresh", and I'd take another 'greenie' to try and figure it out.....unless you're not supposed to...are you?...or not?? ...

I couldn't find the 'key' in your post:confused:

You hit the nail on the head.

Mathematically planned. But on top of some human performances.
But it was a minor third every 6 bars. Sometimes I threw in an octave transposition, but it went up 3 half steps every 6 bars after I wrote out all the parts in the same key.

>and I'd take another 'greenie' to try and figure it out.....

Spark it, Brother!

And thanks for checking it out!

NO WAY.....FAR OUT!!!Leprachan music Kicks ASS!!!!

Thanks, Bro!

Well after 176 posts I'd suggest wading into the talent pool around here, if only for your own prurient interests!

I won't dispute the "unique" angle, but if you've been a regular at the clinic, you know that the quality level can be at times awe-inspiring.

You ever drive by a car wreck and just can't stop looking even though you know you should drive away as fast as you can? This song reminds me of that feeling, you know you shouldn't listen to any more but somehow you can't turn it off... I think I'll go listen again.

Right on Doc, liked the sustaining notes here and there. Reminds me of march. Good stuff.

New chords in this one, new chord changes.

Dave Brubeck would like this one. Me too.

I like that bass business you got going in this one - very physical. :)

Mostly I like the feel of this one. I reckon cats feel this way sometimes. Well, I reckon they feel this way a lot of the time.

Well, that was definately one of a kind. :)
At first it all sounded too jumbled together and I wondered what the hell I just downloaded ;) but I think it kinda grew on me.
No complaints about the sound. Everything was good and clear.

hahaha "songs only a mother could love"... hihihihiii

This is definitely a Doc song.... the passage around 1.50 is sweeet...

Cool Doc. :)
