Maple Guitars?

Hi guys..! Did you heard the brand of Acoustic guitars made in Canada called Maple?
Take a look at the picture... is similitar to Ovation guitars... anyone know anything about this?

Not similar or even blatant -- total fucking rip-off. Either that or an Applause or Ovation that got rebranded or something, since I'd think the design is patented.
