I JUST FINISHED MIXING OUR COUNTRY CD. WE RECORDED THE ENTIRE ALBUM ON MY 488 MK II. I DID SOME BASIC EDITING ON SOUND FORGE. WE STARTED IN OCT.2001 THE RESULTS WERE GREAT FROM OUR STANDPOINT. MY LAST TAPE RECORDER WAS A SONY REEL TO REEL WITH SOUND ON SOUND, SO THIS WAS A HUGE STEP. WE'LL SELL THEM OFF STAGE AT OUR GIGS AND A LARGE FAMILY DOESN'T HURT EITHER.
I JUST WANT TO THANK THE PEOPLE THAT RESPONDED TO MY QUESTIONS AND ALL OTHER INFO I GOT. THIS SITE IS GREAT!
I AM TEMPTED TO GO DIGITAL IF I CAN ONLY MAKE UP MY MIND.
THANKS AGAIN
MOO

If you go digital consider the 788. It's future looks good and there's great support at their forum.

Moo, I just this year moved from analog to digital. Went with the 788 as mentioned above. Very flexible machine. You can do many things not possible on an analog recorder, plus it has a built in mixer too. I have had quite an adjustment to make, though, as I have always used analog equipment, and had quite a learning curve to go through. What am I saying, STILL going through, but I feel it is worth learning, because of the benefits gained. You can also burn CD's or do backups right from the 788 with an approved burner. HTH
:) Reid
