Okay, so between the synth and bass, the mixer, my sound card's software, and my recording software's level controls and various gain dials, I'm not exactly sure what the best way is to approach controlling the volume for recording purposes. Maybe those of you who are experienced have found the best way to manage all of this... what suggestions do you have? Also, my levels change when I switch between monitoring through the computer and direct through the mixer to the monitors... how do you keep track of all of it? What levels do you change to produce what results either in recording level and/or monitor volume?
