I don't know what style your lyric have been written for but it sure reads good to me, if you could place where the verses and chorus is I think that is going to help having more persons read your lyric and comment,

I don't have a song structure at this point.
Lyrics and words come to mind so I type them here to keep them organized.
I always, 95% of the time start a song with words. Then come up with the music later.
For me it's easier to write words than music.

Well not entirely true.
For this one, about the hoot owl, I did do a stream of consciousness, sing and play session the other day.
Maybe I will post that.
