should I use 2 core cable with a screen for the third pin or use 3 core cable?

I used Beldon. No problems with it ever. Mogami is very good.

What are you talking about and why do you think it's ok to come in and insult people?

Not only do you not understand the thread, you're also barely literate. "Just buy one idiot" .... erm .... looks like you already got one free of charge. Say thanks to your parents for me, muppet! :)

Because idiot, when you need 16 to 24 or MORE, making your own is cheaper AND it looks much neater as you can custom fit the cables to your rig. Go produce something dork.

He seems to be well on his way to producing another red chicklet, maybe two or three.

yes I have 4 or 5 cable runs from the iso booth to the control room. I want to put in 2 balanced XLR inputs for stereo micing guitar, 2 headphone returns incast I have 2 vocalists in at once and a mono line incase I want to put an amp in there but have the player in the control room. Just seemed more ethical to make up the lines myself. I got chasis mount XLR inputs and stereo jack inputs for cheap I thoughtI could mount on a plate on the wall. Can't think for the life of me what was bumb about it

These are going in the wall? You may want to look in your area for a sound contractor. Most companies make a mic cable that is made for installation. Good stuff, but a thinner, less flexible jacket. An installer may have some scrap hanging around you can get for not much, maybe nothing, if you need some short runs. Or maybe check some local studios, as well, see if they have some scrap 8-channel snake cable hanging around.

I got a 500 foot spool of it from Markertek. Amazing stuff. I have a bundle of seventeen of them (8 mic, 4 dual-jack mic/line with two wires each, one headphone) in a buncle that's about the diameter of a quarter....

from one wall plate, under the floor to a plate on the wall in the iso booth. None of which are constructed yet, so it's no hassle laying in 5 lines, I already have all the sockets and a drum of 2 core + shield, Just checking it was ok to use
