A freind of mine gave me a patch bay, so now I need to figure out how to hook things up. It is for 1/4 cables. Mostly I just want to be able to switch between two different set ups for monitors, one coming from my firepod to my amp, the other from my firepod to a mixer on my pratice pa..

Also could you recomend a link for a refresher on how to wire my own cables. I used to do all my own repairs when I was on the road, but that was 20+ years ago. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks in advance:)

I wanted to know how to solder a patchbay. Mine has 1/4 on one and 3 terminals on the other side. I also wanted to be able to make up my own cables since I would have to cut one end off a new cable. I found a couple of references on this but I'll have to read them at least a few times to understand normal and half normal or to even understand how I would want to use this. Also when I fixed mic cables in the past I was never concerned about phantom power, now I need to figure out at least what pin is # 1. Thanks for the link, I will study it carefully, I'm sure it will be of help. Thanks again Big Tom
