Making my Demo tape

Howdy everyone....

I've got the music to all my songs done and ready to be recorded, but I don't really write lyrics. I've only written lyrics for a few songs I've written, but I mainly write music...

So heres my quandary, do demo tapes have to have vocal on? I have a ton of songs, but not all of them have lyrics...

Could you just make a demo with no vocal? I don't want to send it to any companies or anything, just something to have done, to have accomplished..(nave knows already)
