Okay, I hope this is not too basic of you guys, but here is what I want to do. In the past, I've made CD mixes from various artists by using two CD players and a Numark mixer. The thing I liked about this was that I could start one song as another is ending and blend them together.

I have to believe there is an easier way to do it these days on a computer. I would think that I can copy CD's of various to my hard drive and then create the mixes with some software (of which I can't find) on my hard drive and then burn them on to a CD.

Can anybody give me any guidance on software or links on the web I can go to find this.

Thank you very much in advance.

There's plenty of software out there that will do this. Probably the most pevasive and the cheapest is Roxio's Easy CD Creator. It will allow you to both rip CD tracks to your hard drive, and then burn them to an audio CD in whatever arrangement you want.

well your CD burner itself should have come with some type of software that allows you to copy/store data (songs). But as far as editors I vote you go to www.hitsquad.com and browse the thousands of programs available. Just select the catagory that thrills you and give it a click to review the basic functions.
Goldwav is a cheap and easy to use wav editor for things like fading or cutting and pasting.
