Making Edit in place default

How can I make "Edit in place" automatically be turned on for any new MIDI track that's created?
 
Don't think there's a setting for that, but you could make a macro that creates a new midi track and enables Edit in Place at the same time.
 
No problem. I've spend alot of time figuring this stuff out because I feel it's very important to be able to work very fast with your sequencer. In the end, it's worth that extra bit of time saved, which I can use for more usefull stuff, like sleeping :)
 
I totally agree that workflow maximization is very important... my goal is to give my workflow a laxative

So that I have to think about the interface as minimally as possible, so that I have maximal mental capacity available for thinking about the music
