Making bass traps with limited space.

I have limited space due to doors etc. so all my corners can't be used for bass traps. However, the ceiling corners are free. So I'm looking to create something like this with maybe oh say, 703.

Now that raises some questions. Will flat triangles of 703 wrapped in cloth even do anything for bass? I would imagine there is a reason Auralex has different bass traps and shapes them differently for different applications.

So... What do you think? I really like the look of that image so... what can I do with 703 if anything?

Or any other suggestions?

my room is like 11'x11'x8'

Thanks again!

If you have the ceiling/wall/wall corners available, you probably also have the joint between the ceiling and the walls right? Make some 4"x2'x4' traps out of 703 or 705 and put them up. If you can get 4 or even 6 up, you'll be better off than with just triangles in the corner.

Also, listen to the master on the topic when he shows up or check out:

For some insight.

Or even do exactly the same thing as you saw in the Auralex drawing. Cut some 703 into 2'x2' squares and stack them up in that corner as a square. Then use some 4" straddling panels butted up to them.

To take it one more level, you can cut everything into triangles and do the chunk thing all around the perimeter.
