Making a CD with SONAR LE??

Am I missing something? I can't convert the files cwp or cwb in order to open them with Pyro and burn onto a CD. Is there no option for making CD with audio from SONAR LE? What about the full version of SONAR? Will it burn CDs?

Correct, there is no option in Sonar to burn a CD.

Here's what you do ( at least here is what I do)>

After it is all mixed, go to file> export to audio. Export it, and you will pick 16-bit if you want to burn it to a cd. Export it as a 16 bit wav. file, then Nero or something else will burn it, and you will be on your way to solid gold records. ;)
 
It only gives me the option of exporting it as cwp or cwb. Niether of which my other software reads. How do i change this to a wav file?

Hmmmm :confused:

I have Sonar3 producer. When I go to File>export audio, it gives options of RIFF wave, Broadcast wave, real player, MP3, etc.

I dont know what SONAR LE is, I had Cakewalk Pro audio 9 and Sonar 1 previously, I know that both gave me the option of exporting a wav. file :confused:

Oh wait: by chance are you trying to export a midi file or something?

It sounds like you are "saving" the file, not exporting audio.

There has to be some method of exporting a .wav file, otherwise the program would be of no use. Try the help dialogue for wave or .wav or export.
 
export audio for cd burning

You can only export an audio file if there are midi tracks they will not be exported
so change your tracks to an audio file by inserting a sterio audio track select all your other tracks then set the new audio track to record then click play . all the selected tracks will be recorded as a audio file on the track that was set to record that will be an audio file of all the other tracks
then select that track go to file export audio select wave then name your file then export it to a temp folder from there you can burn it to cd

That how i do it works all the time

The LE version might not have the export to wav facility - where did you get the LE version from - free with a piece of hardware or similar?
 
Make sure all tracks to be mixed down are selected then "bounce tracks" to a stereo track. Then deselect those tracks and select the stereo mixdown track only. Now try to export as a .wav file and it should work. Works in Sonar 4 Producer anyhow.

This will work, however it seems redundant.

When you export, its basically like bouncing tracks. Actually, I think its exactly the same thing, you are merely bouncing tracks to the exported track. :) By mixing down first ( bouncing tracks is also known is mixdown in Cakewalk), you are just putting in one extra step.

I think Dachay is correct ( as usual): I cant find a way to export a cwb, that's just saving.
 
I don't think the LE version allows wav exporting ;) Its a freebie shipped with Maudio keyboards. Its a taster to get folk wanting to upgrade. :)

Yeah that's true but I like to mixdown (oops bounce) to a stereo master track to add some subtle FX (reverb, etc) to the total mix before it goes to .wav. 6 of 1, half dozen of the other :)

Aaaah. I do this in Wavelab :)

Back on topic: indeed Paul ( Hi Paul :cool: ) has unearthed the infamous SonarLE! I never heard of it, apparantly you get it if you buy ANY edirol product! Maybe Sonar LE is a fancy way of saying "Free Sonar DEMO included", because what possible use is it if you cant export a .wav file?

Hiya David, good to make contact again after so long :) Yes, the LE is a Free Sonar demo package only. ;)
 
Export .wav in Sonar LE

Hey guys,

I'm a newbie, so I might be missing what you are trying to do. I don't know if this helps, but I received Sonar LE w/an Edirol UA-25 a couple of months ago and have been recording audio files. I am able to export them using the same procedure outlined below for producer (File->Export Audio-> RIFF/Broadcast/MP3, etc..)
