I know this is a bit of a longshot as most of you have been on here for ages. But it seems the mod for this forum has either forgotten about this.. or something has happened to him... either way... there is no stickies, mod's.. or general organization to this forum.

I am willing to setup a forum, it wont take me too long.. but i dont want it to be ignored and it just be up there for no reason. Chances are, il only make it for studio construction.

If you like the idea, just leave me a message below and il consider throwing it together... I think its time those questions that get asked on a VERY regular basis get answered without the need to post the same thing all the time!

Let me know,
Techno

I think we just need a DIY section
I think he's talking about an entirely new forum, as in on another site. Where, in true utopian style, the hope is that newbies will actually read up a bit before posting "do I really need 103, I'm special" questions...

Exactly, if we could add more topics to this forum, that would solve all. But to be honest I have the tools to make an awesome forum in no time at all. Plus we would know that only worth while posts would be made because all the usually asked things would be covered in sticky's.

Plus i would make sure no none-sensers could post rubbish... and also have a set of mods who could help me run it.

Just a little bump as i believe this is a really important situation.

Even if you dont agree with it i would like to hear your reasoning!

If you do, i would love the support,

Thanks again

Why are you asking permission here? Just do it if you feel it is worthwhile and John Sayer's and Ethan's are sufficient.

There you can be a mod to your heart's content.

Tech,

I have my hands full now with everywhere I am - but if you want to do it - just do it -

One thing however I feel the need to point out to you.

People don't want stickies (except for those of us answering questions) - 99% of them never even bother to read them......

Go to John Sayers and check out Steve's Stickies threads - he has 15 of them............. and yet people still ask all of the same old questions.....

I think it's the McDonalds mentality -

Yea i totally understand and appriciate that.

The facts are, if we split it into construction sections. eg acoustics: we could have a topic that is permanently there for people to post room arrangement questions.. and have stickies up on the usual questions asked on bass traps, monitor placement ect.

The facts are people make posts saying 'Monitor Placement' but if there were a sticky at the top of the threat saying 'Monitor Placement (read here) and the first post is a detailed explination.. people just wont need to ask questions, and if they do.. they ask them there...

I just think organization would save us alot of time.
