Can I make a full band stereo file into a groove clip, and then slow down the tempo ? I just need to do it a little. But I can't go back and redo all performances on the 30 tracks. This is my only hope.

I had briefly experimented with converting a drum clip into a groove clip and slowing it down, but got this weird reverb-y effect.

any advice? or is this impossible to do cleanly?

thanks alot

That's a tough call any way you slice it, it's definitly not going to be good to do it using groove clips.

Your best hope is to import it into an audio editor like soundforge and try to do it with a "time stretch" function, but even then you're likely to introduce artifacts into the sound and screw up a lot of things. Never hurts to try, though, just keep a backup.

You might try the cakewalk pitch/time stretch plugin, which should be available as an offline effect.
