Mainboard with a P4 2.4 and Sonar

I'm upgrading to a P4 and I need a new motherboard, any suggestions? My Athlon and board both died. I want something that will work but not cost me an arm and leg. I'm looking to spend about $300 and that includes the P4(A friend of mine works at a computer store and is getting me his discount). Any input would be appreciated.

Sonar is not the problem, but you might have some conflicts with your motherboard and soundcard.

You should have posted this in the Computers and Soundcards forum...
