Anyone using the Roland RD700? Great action and I love the sound through headphones, but from reviews I've been reading and my own comparisons the sound coming out of the main outs is pretty weak. Anyone have first hand experience with this? While we're at it, I'm looking for a solid keyboard to use in my home studio - I play a lot of piano and I need 88 weighted keys, but I'm also looking for a board with good midi capability. I'll be running it through my Mac so I don't need an on-board sequencer, and I'm using a lot of soft synths. Basically, I need a keyboard with great action, tight piano, EP and drums, and sounds great for home recording. I probably won't be doing too much live performance with this, so live sound's not a big concern. Besides the RD700 (which so far seems perfect, except for the main outs - which I could chalk up to shit GC monitors) I've been looking at the Yamaha S80 and the Kurzweil PC2 (Motif's out of my price range and I think more than I need). Opinions?
