Main menu and keyboard shortcuts question

Morning campers

Can anyone help with this?

Along the main menu where you find File, Edit, Process, View, etc each word has one letter underlined. For instance the "c" in Process. Now, if I press "c", instead of being offered the options in that menu the cursor changes to the scissors tool.

However, if the Process menu drop down list is displayed after a mouse click, then I can type, for instance an "a" for Audio and then a "q" for 3db quieter.

So, how come this works with sub menus but not directly with the main menu?

Cheers

Jan

You have to press it with the Alt -key. First you press the Alt-key, THEN you press whatever letter you want....

And "c" is defined as the scissors tool.

Hope this helps! :)

Well, so what if we are. I'd rather have a glass of Canadian beer with people on here than most normal idiots.

PS The reason I wanted to know that was today I edited by hand about 200 random notes of a track which contained an audio recording of an arpeggiated run. I took various little bleeps down by sometimes 3 and 6db. Now that's something you can't EVER do with a Korg Karma!

Mr Korg. If you're reading this, I would like to have one though if you've got a scratched one there for me...
