Get a Carvin.
I worked in the factory for two years, and I can state from experience that they are of the highest quality.
One of my jobs was destroying guitars with defects. I would be handed a crate of guitars. I would take off the hardware and then cut them into three sections using a 1.5 inch bandsaw. The body was destroyed, along with the neck in two places.
I often asked, "What is wrong with this guitar?" Then someone would show me the slightest blemish or mistake. I wanted to keep them for myself instead of destroy them, but the owners wouldn't let me. They said that once it had the Carvin label on it, it had to be perfect.
I've owned Carvins. They are as perfect as a guitar can get, and a hell of a deal for the price.
You cannot go wrong with a Carvin (note: I haven't worked there in years, so I have nothing to gain by recommending them).
