i'm using a pair of advent "baby advent 2"'s...

i guess they arent shielded, because when they get close to my monitor, the monitor starts to go crazy on that side...ha

well - what else can my speakers hurt?! i hope not the comp itself, or delta, or mixer, or mic...etc .

lol, probably best to find out asap..thanks to anyone who responds quick.

Things that don't like a magnetic field;
Tapes of any kind (cassette, VCR, DAT, ADAT, etc)
Floppy discs
Your monitor (as you found out)
A compass (it can make finding "north" difficult in the studio).

gotcha, so im pretty mucuh safge.....

and oh yeah, can i "demagnify" it? lol...

Even sheilded speakers will freak your monitor out a little bit if you get em too close...unless they have really tiny drivers. You just have to find a good spot for em!

(yes, you can permanently damage your monitor if you leave them in a strong magnetic field for a period of time)
