Corner Bead #1

Not a big deal, but I do like corner bead. Hides a lot of potential uglyness.

Even the nastiest spot in the ceiling will come out okay.

This was supposed to be a flat area, however due to the joists being warped (yet screwed in really well), and several plywood seams not mating up right (though chaulked and glued), the drywall is warped, crooked, etc. But, it will be nice in the end and no one will notice that we shimmed the hell out of this area.

I have about 10 other corner bead pictures but I'll spare y'all. Just showing that FINALLY I got some work done rather than sitting on the phone pretending I'm employed :D

It's a nice feeling to get the mud work completed. Then the fun begins (I won't bore you with my detailed list of things you need to do...I'll just check up on you to make sure you do them!!).

Now, go back to work (er, pretending to work.....).

Darryl.....

p.s. I'm sitting here at 3 am in a hotel room in Binghamtom, NY, unable to sleep, and all I can manage to come up with is some smart remarks. The brain is fried......................zzzzzzzzzzzz

Lookin good. I absolutely hate putting up drywall but I actually enjoy mudding. It's really fun if you go for a thick textured look.

I really don't know how anyone would *like* mudding. Obviously necessary, but its irritating me to no end, probably because I haven't just hammered it out due to end of year job torture (I manage technical salespeople, so its quota-crunch-time). I'm soooooo ready to start soldering.

And my patch bays are on the way! Woohoo!

OK.
I have to ask.
Why is there an electrical outlet above the door?

Its for the hanging "midimonkey productions" sign :)

Oh!
OK.
Well.... Cool!

I chose that spot for the neon sign because it will fit widthwise, and not be anywhere near the producer's desk, the gear, or the vocal booth.

Some of you guys like Lava lamps, *I* like Neon :)
